FEED - The Knowledge Community launches a new call: ‘Tell us about legumes’. The call collects practices demonstrating how at least one step of the supply chain (cultivation, processing, cooking, storage) preserves or improves the nutritional value of legumes and makes them more palatable, how it has contributed to maintaining or improving soil productivity and quality, as well as biodiversity, implementing innovations that make the process more sustainable and promoting a change in consumers' diets and in the lives of local communities.
The call is open to Operators, whether they are natural persons or legal representatives of legal entities, or wish to discuss good practice, such as farmers, agricultural cooperatives, researchers, professionals, non-profit organisations.
The successful candidate will receive an invitation to an upcoming international event where he or she will have the opportunity to present on stage the results of his/her work and discuss prospects and needs before an audience of international importance.
To apply for the call, simply log in and register on www.feedcommunity.net from
8 March 2024 until 30 May 2024
Legumes are a fundamental component of the Mediterranean Diet and regional agro-ecological systems. They have high nutritional, nutraceutical properties and a sustainable environmental impact, as demonstrated by activities realized by MEDIET project an initiative funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, involving 17 countries from the three main Mediterranean regions, Maghreb, Mashreq and the Balkans.
