The hydraulic laboratory is located in the experimental fields and is used for both teaching purposes and research. It  includes a pressurised system supplied from a storage tank and a pumping system equipped with inverter that ensures energy use optimisation tailored to the discharges withdrawn, and a rectangular open channel. The latter is fed by a submerged pump that is started via an electronic equipment controlled by a pre-programmed card. This equipment has been developed at the L&W Division of CIHEAM Bari and could be used for the management and use of ground water resources.
