Food Urban Policies - PUC

Project aimed at strengthening the growth and socio-economy cohesion between the rural and coastal communities in Brazzaville, supporting peace processes and conflicts reduction, trough urban food policies, developing a network to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable (SDG11). The management of agricultural products and by-products is an emergency, characterized by internal conflicts. The main objective of the project is to develop innovative competencies, aimed at food safety and security, added value and short chain development to reduce food waste and losses. The Project approach develop the approach for conflict prevention and management in Africa, according to the vision of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation/Directorate General for Global Affairs (MAECI/DGMO).
