Support the revitalization of the local economy through a revival of the agricultural sector as a means to generate alternative sources of income and new job opportunities

The EFEF Plus project aims at supporting local administrations in their efforts to promote economic recovery in the Municipalities of Sebha, Murzuq, Ubari and Ghat by contributing to enhanced citizens’ access to quality services.  Specifically, the project intends to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy as a means to generate alternative sources of income and new job opportunities. To this end, the project will support local farmer entrepreneurship by enhancing efficiency and innovation in farming operations through improved access to modern and efficient agricultural machinery for various high value crops, as well as training on their proper use and maintenance.

Morover, with a view of assisting local agricultural entrepreneurs in achieving higher quantitative and qualitative standards of local productions, laboratories’ capacity of the Municipality of Sebha will be enhanced to improve physical-chemical analysis of water and soil.
