The global digital market will reach USD 1,250 billion in 2026 with an overall growth of almost 140%. In 2030, the European labour market will need at least 20 million ICT specialists. To date, the EU's 9 million ICT specialists fall well short of the EU aim (DESI Report 2022, European Commission) and are not enough to address the rising demand for skilled staff.

In response to this need, as part of the Food4Health project, CIHEAM Bari will launch a call for participation in a training course on 'Digital skills enhancement in the green and blue economy' for 30 graduates or nearly graduating students (final year) from Albania, Montenegro and Italy.

This innovative training course will be delivered in close cooperation with digital companies thanks to the partnership with Puglia IT District, Ditech and the support of business associations from Albania and Montenegro.

The course is divided into a mindset training phase and a project work experience (traineeship) within digital companies in Italy, Albania and Montenegro.

The work experience will be carried out as part of a multidisciplinary team of participants who will have the opportunity to develop real innovative solutions based on the business challenges of the companies by applying Open Innovation-Design Thinking  Methodology.
