Habari Ramazani shares his experience as a Mentor of the Training Course “Agri-business and Value Chain: Towards Sustainable Agri-food Systems”.
«Ladies and gentlemen, it is an honor and a pleasure to share with you the experience I had during the training course "Agri-business and Value Chain: Towards Sustainable Agri-food Systems," held in Puglia, Italy, from September 9 to 20, 2024.
This course was hosted and organized by CIHEAM Bari in the framework of the programme "Improving the inclusive and sustainable development of agricultural value chains", funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and implemented by UNIDO in Mozambique.
Participating in this course was an incredible experience. As a mentor for the UNIDO - Mozambique team, I had the opportunity to learn about best practices in agribusiness and sustainable value chains. The technical visits to various farms and cooperatives were inspiring, demonstrating the importance of innovation and collaboration in transforming the agricultural sector.
The "Agri-business and Value Chain" course was a true turning point in my career!
I learned about the latest trends in agribusiness, including the relevance of quality certification, sustainable farm management, and the use of innovative technologies. As a mentor for the UNIDO team, I was able to share this knowledge with my colleagues and contribute to the development of more efficient and sustainable projects in Mozambique.
International cooperation is essential for the development of agribusiness in developing countries. Through the course, I met professionals from different sectors and learned about the diverse realities of the agricultural sector. As a mentor for the UNIDO team, I also helped strengthen communication between Italian farmers, cooperatives and the UNIDO - Mozambique team, promoting better mutual understanding and the exchange of best practices.
I would like to thank CIHEAM Bari, UNIDO and the Italian Cooperation for this important initiative and for providing me with this unique opportunity to enhance my knowledge and contribute to the development of agribusiness in Mozambique».
