The MIP Web Academy is organizing new activities for members of the MIP Network including the webinar “Mentoring: a practice experience”, which will take place on May 12, 2022 between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm (CET).
Mentoring startup businesses is of paramount importance to their success. A well-designed mentoring program provides practical guidance and a sharp learning curve for those who are venturing the entrepreneurial journeys and can unleash connections and opportunities that may turn out to be key to the establishment of profitable businesses. But setting up a sound mentoring program is no easy feat.
The recognition of the power of mentorship is at the basis of the activities of the Foundation Madrid+d in Spain. Starting from the experience acquired while directing the foundation’s entrepreneurship unit, Eduardo Diaz will share his knowhow, opinions and perspectives on the critical factors that are key to the success of mentoring programs.
Eduardo Diaz is Head of the Entrepreneurship Unit at Fundacion madri+d, a Public Organisation of the Regional Government of Madrid in the areas of Science, Innovation and quality of Higher Education. Eduardo is a graduate in Physics and MBA by the IE. Among other entrepreneurship related activities, he coordinates the international startup Mentoring Certification (Business mentor madri+d), Incubation and Acceleration Programmes (ESA BIC Madrid Region, healthstart), Financing Networks (Business Angel Network BAN madri+d), the Madrid Startup Ecosystem Platform (Startup Radar madri+d) and cooperation Programmes with R&D Centers, Universities and other Institutions in the field of Technology-Based Entrepreneurship. As Manager Consultant he worked in the fields of Management of European projects, Strategic Planning, Technology Auditing and R&D promotion. He also worked as Engineer in the Electronics and Aerospace sectors and as University Lecturer.
