The training course "Pastoral and agro-pastoral systems in the Mediterranean region: potential, challenges and prospects" will take place online (via the Zoom platform) on 10-11 March 2021.
The course is organized in the framework of PACTORES (Pastoral ACTORs, Ecosystem services and Society as key elements of agro-pastoral systems in the Mediterranean) project (http://www.pactores.eu), funded within ERANET-MED program (project code: ERANETMED2-72-303). It addresses the multidimensional and multifaceted benefits and challenges tackled by agro-pastoral systems in the Mediterranean, from environmental, social, economic and political points of view. It aims to share the project results and provide the participants with knowledge on methodological approaches to analyse the sustainability of agro-pastoral systems.
The course will involve max. 30 participants from the Mediterranean (both PACTORES partner countries – Algeria, Greece, Italy, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey – and other Mediterranean countries). Target participants include students and young researchers on pastoralism as well as pastoralists and their organisations, policy makers and planners.
