The Project is funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation through the Italian Egyptian Debt Swap Programme Phase III (IEDS III).
CIHEAM Bari is the implementing agency providing technical and scientific support to the counterparts – Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation (MoALR) – and General Authority for Fish Resources Development (GAFRD).
The project intends to provide assistance to the Egyptian Public and private actors in the sector of marine aquaculture, transferring advanced knowhow and technology in the Country.
The overall objective of the project is to develop and consolidate the marine aquaculture sector in the coastal areas of Egypt.
The project aims to implement a Global assistance to the Egyptian Public and Private actors, transferring advanced know-how and technology in the beneficiary Country.
The specific objectives related to the vacancies are the followings:
i) Establishing an Aquaculture Technical District in Port Said
ii) Improving the management capacity of GAFRD and the performance capacity of the farmers.
VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT - Program: “Agriculture and Livestock Support for Syrian People”
N. 1 Agronomist
The program is co-funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and by the British Department for International Development (DFID) and it is implemented by CIHEAM Bari. The Program areas of implementation are the North – West, the East and the South of Syria managed from the program Bases of Gaziantep (Turkey), Beirut (Lebanon) and Amman (Jordan). The main objective is to improve the livelihood of the Syrian rural population through the strengthening of agricultural production with short- and medium-term interventions. The specific objective is: “Increase agricultural and livestock production and household income of Syrian Local Communities, through provision of inputs and services made available in collaboration with the Syrian Local Council Administrations”.
